Teachers

Each of our teachers has successfully completed the training offered by Music Together® LLC and has a fundamental understanding of the Music Together approach to early childhood tonal and rhythmic development. Our teachers lead the class activities, and guide parents and caregivers through the rediscovery of the joy and educational value of informal music making with young children and their families.

First offered in 1987, Music Together pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes adult participation. Children learn most easily from their parents and primary caregivers. The basics of music can be most easily absorbed in a child’s earliest years. A child’s work is a child’s play and a child’s play is a child’s work….play is an integral part of our music making together.

Rebecca Graham is an experienced, playful educator and the Co-Director and Owner of Catskill Mountain Music Together. With over 10 years of experience working as a special education teacher in Brooklyn, Rebecca has developed a deep understanding of how to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments where all children and families can thrive.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Studio Art from Hunter College and a Master of Science in Special Education from Long Island University. Her background in child development deeply informs her teaching, especially in Catskill Mountain Music Together’s specialty offerings, including babies-only classes and Big Kids classes. She thoughtfully designs these classes to meet children exactly where they are developmentally, supporting confidence, connection, and music-making at every stage.

Rebecca fell in love with Music Together after attending classes with her own son and experiencing firsthand the magic of bonding through music making. She is honored to now share that same joy with families in the Hudson Valley community.

photo Timothy Dunn

Timothy Dunn is a lifelong musician and performer with formal training in voice and dance who believes every child — and every grown-up — is inherently musical. With nearly three decades of performing and teaching experience, Tim brings warmth, rhythm, and playful energy into every Music Together class.

A graduate of Northwestern University’s musical theatre program, Tim has worked professionally across the country and currently serves as Associate Artistic Director at Bridge Street Theatre in Catskill. Whether leading a rehearsal or a song circle, he believes creative play builds confidence, connection, and community.

In class, Tim is known for fully committing to a goofy dance move or dramatic animal sound, and he believes that when grown-ups model joy, children follow.

photo Andrea Lubrano

Born in California, raised in New York, and deeply rooted in Caracas, Andrea Lubrano now calls the Hudson Valley her home. A mother, holistic nutritionist, and chef, Andrea’s passion for cultures and societies is woven into the foods, flavors, and rhythms that have shaped her life.

Andrea discovered Catskill Music Together and the Canta y Baila (CyB) program just before the pandemic. With her Venezuelan heritage and a deep connection to Latin rhythms, she instantly fell in love with the program’s celebration of music and culture. In 2020, she became certified in the CyB program, teaching virtually for a time. Now, Andrea is thrilled to return to in-person teaching in Rhinebeck, where she hopes to share her culture and love of music with the community.

photo Kaeli Heffner

Kaeli Heffner is thrilled to be working with Catskill Mountain Music Together after previously teaching MT in Manhattan. She received her BFA in Theatre from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and is currently working toward her master’s degree in Elementary Education. She has performed as an actor, dancer, and singer in amateur and professional theater since she was 5 years old, and began teaching and mentoring young children the moment she became a teenager. One of her favorite adventures was as a Touring Actor and Director with Missoula Children’s Theater, which allowed her to see the country, as well as Italy, Spain, France, Denmark, the UK, Germany, Portugal, and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Her work with children from various demographics solidified her beliefs that arts education is a universal human right and that all children deserve to live in rich musical households, just like she did. Kaeli has perfect pitch and dabbles in a variety of instruments.

Kelsea Beck earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Tulane University of New Orleans, and has since spent over a decade as a singer and nanny in New York. Kelsea revels in whimsy and silliness, and can usually be found singing opera in a metal band, geeking out at the ren faire, or tending native plants in the backyard. Nature is healing, and human nature is musical!
